Week 17

A couple of hundred K's down the road and we have arrived at "Corindi"
Its an awesome little park about 35ish K's north of Coffs Harbour.

We had storms every day for the first 5 days, it was pretty cool to watch them coming over - nothing major which was good, we did get quite a bit of rain out of a couple though.

Hey Shell, this may not look like the "worlds biggest tackle shop" but it is about as long (deep) as a football field, way too much to take in.

I caught this 37cm Bream off the beach, as you can see, I was pretty happy - and he tasted good too, we stuffed it with some green prawns, garlic & butter wrapped him in foil and baked it on the webber - Tip = stuffed with prawns is a winner...

Merry Christmas to all our loyal viewers = thats you...
This was our Christmas lunch, it was only us, so we spent most of the day snacking.
Shell check it out, its a big bananananananana....well it is big.
Some of the locals, as long as they stay off the road - its all good.

Week 16

Week 16, thats 4 months - Go Us......

This is Dom's brother "Noddy" and our sister in-law Maryann ( see last week ) They just wanted to be on the blog - cause they are special.......
We are now at Broadwater just west of Evans head - south of Ballina.

Dom went fishing at Evans Head, got a few bream ( nothing huge though ) and a couple of these puffer fish - little hard to fillet though...

Hi Shell, This is a large Knight just outside of Ballina, lots of big things in this area.
Storm out off the coast at Evans Head

Hello again Michelle, now this is a big Prawn.
Don't know whats doing? it used to be the information centre for Ballina, now its just a big empty prawn.

View down a cliff at Byron Bay

I've done it now.. The most Easterly point of Australia, now we've only got South, West & North to go....

This is what the most Easterly tip looks like.

week 15

We are off again. We spent a night at lake Monduran - nice spot, just wish we had a boat and we would have stayed longer.
Next stop was Tin Can Bay.
This is the view of the coast at Rainbow beach from the sand blow.

Hey Shell, its a "big" sand blow....

Another weird tree, the vines look awesome, don't know if the tree likes it though?

Rainbow Beach ( north & south )

Coloured sands - maybe thats why its called Rainbow Beach....

This was taken from the moon.
Well it could look like this.

Another sunset from Noddy & Maryann's at the Gold Coast

And the view from the van...........Tops. ( and free )

The video is for Mark, I'll try and get some more for ya.
they just take forever to up-load.

Week 15 ( sorry about weeks 10-15 )

We spent the last few weeks working in Gladstone & Rockhampton and we finished the house = check it out http://www.gsaundersre.com.au/listing/GSR10417 nice place, huge shed, bargain in Rocky. Sunset from the back yard in Rocky.

I have some really good mates, one of whom is Simon, while we were staying in Gladstone he let me borrow this very nice WR450F motard ( just to keep in form ) for a local track day at the Kart track south of Rockhampton, he even let me use his leathers, I'm telling ya - really nice bloke. ( Thanks little buddy )
 Just a couple of shots.

Here are a couple more mates, more like little legends really.
#06 is Billy ( the "fast" kid ) and #211 is Josh ( the "legend" ) Some days these guy's make me feel old - but not often.....

 Knee down...Nice.

Simon, Michelle and Jack also so very kindly put us up for 3 weeks, thanks heaps guy's.

Week 9

Tribute to Jessie

Our Squishy little Stinka passed away on Monday morning 24/10/12.

She was nearly 15.

We will miss our little girl.

Week 8

Sorry to all for the recent delay in the posts, we have been sneaking back up north to Rockhampton so we could surprise Fiona's mum and sister.

Fiona's sister is moving to King Island (just north-west of Tasmania) and her and her family have been living in their mum's house for about 10 years and Fiona's mum has decided to sell it now that it will be empty. So we have been cleaning, washing, mowing, pruning, painting, fence removing and all the fun stuff that comes with preparing a house for sale. I have a couple of before shots, these were taken just a couple of days into the job. I'm hoping the after shots look much better??? We'll see.
